It’s Pittsburgh’s biggest block party—with a twist. We block the streets on the North Side, but roll out the welcome mat to folks from communities throughout Allegheny County.

Everything you expect from a good old block party – from hot dogs & cold beer to veggie burgers & soda, a stageful of live music, raffle prizes, kids' activities, and lots and lots of talkin’ and laughin’

A FREE event open to those who work or volunteer in community development and community organizing activities!

  • Help us welcome Brenda Balazs, CTAC’s new Executive Director
  • Snap your portrait for CTAC’s PhotoShoppe project!
  • Live from the Block Party stage with The 3rd Story and The Groove Pilgrims
  • Play a game of Cornhole!

A celebration for community development professionals, volunteers, residents, and supporters—from government, banking, real estate, small business, education, nonprofits, arts, and philanthropies

Hosted by CTAC, the Community Technical Assistance Center. Founded in 1982, we’re a nonprofit committed to building and strengthening effective community-based organizations through organizational development, community organizing, community data and advocacy.

  • Celebrate the accomplishments and enthusiasm of Pittsburghers dedicated to our neighborhoods
  • Build the personal connections that help us strengthen our communities
  • Solve our neighborhoods’ challenges (It’s easier over hot dogs and beer)
